NorthPoint was pleased to partner with Canobie Lake Toyota to renovate an existing vacant building and transform it into a new, state-of-the-art Certified Used Vehicle dealership. Located directly across from the main Canobie Lake Toyota and Honda dealerships, the former iconic Salem Liquor Store was repurposed into this modern facility in less than a year.
Demolition and abatement began in mid-September 2025, and Canobie Lake Toyota opened its new facility in the summer of 2026. While the project encountered several early challenges, including structural issues and the integration of new additions onto the existing structure, progress quickly gained momentum and teams maintained a strong construction schedule. This allowed ownership to take occupancy in July 2026.
The transformation required extensive aesthetic upgrades to meet Toyota’s brand standards and design guidelines. By project completion, the building had undergone such a dramatic renovation that it was virtually unrecognizable from its original appearance. The result is a modern, functional facility that enhances Canobie Lake Toyota’s presence while breathing new life into a longstanding Salem landmark.
